Rome Katana 2020 Snowboard Bindings : We returned to the Design House and injected a new level of performance into the Katana for 2020. A new highback redefines its flex profile—our Asym FlexChannel Highback, made from powerful glass-filled nylon, features a single diagonal flex slot. The result is heelside response that has support where you need it and has flexibility on the inside top corners for tweak and smooth flow. The combination of our supportive Ultralight Ankle Strap and PivotMount Max Technology team up to give you the ability to fine tune toeside support. Superlight and with an all-new medium flex profile, the Katana lays down technical response and advanced customization for everything from groovy freeriding, to high-speed powder slashing, to progressive park ripping.

Footbed : Optional Canting D30 Foam
V-Rod Baseplate : A V-shaped baseplate with a "rod" of edge-to-edge contact limits the binding's footprint on the board, which delivers three things: natural board flex, greater binding flexibility side-to-side, and full power from toe to heel. You get the perfect blend of flex with pop.
SubBase V-Pad : Partnered with the V-Rod baseplate, the 3D profile of the EVA and rubber sub-base pad fills the lifted corners of the baseplate creating cushioning for the smoothest side-to-side flex while allowing for a dampening barrier between the baseplate and topsheet.

Straps : Autostrap
PivotMount Strap Technology : Rome's created a new, easy-to-pivot attachment system for both sides of your ankle strap to let you increase the range of ankle strap positions over your foot. This lets you quickly tune the flex of your binding. While many bindings in snowboarding limit ankle strap positions to one choice, the Katana maximizes rider choice.
Auto Strap : Rome's signature idea using an elastic band to hold the ankle straps out of the footbed until you are ready to strap in.
Contourlight Ankle Strap : The Contourlight Ankle Strap features a minimalist design that pre-loads tension in the strap for a better heel hold with less pressure. Multiple densities of EVA are placed in the spots that optimize comfort, flexibility and response.

Asym Flex Channel Highback: This flexible and responsive highback offers clean and precise heelside control thanks to 14% glass-filled nylon content.
Cant-In-The-Back II : This technology offers detailed points of customization for those riders who want to optimize performance like you would by tuning the engine of a sports car. Since the angle of your lower leg changes with the width of your stance, Rome lets riders adjust highback canting to keep the highback in seamless contact with the back of your boot.
