Flux 2014 DL Men's Snowboard Bindings : The DL Snowboard binding has been completely redesigned for this season, and it now sports an entirely new baseplate and highback. The new Ultima baseplate is crafted from a 25% carbon/75% fiberglass blend, truly giving this binding a freestyle flex, with just enough response to make it all-mountain capable. Vast improvements have been made over last season's Alpha baseplate, including higher sidewalls and straighter lines. This creates better edge to edge responsiveness for carving. Another improvement in this year's DL binding is the inclusion of titanium hardware.

For a soft and plush ride, Flux has placed a Deck Sensor Freestyle footbed for outside edge support, improved stability, and board control. This freestyle-specific footbed creates natural canting, as the foam has a softer instep. This allows your boot to naturally compress and conform to the footbed as you ride. The small amount of tilt generated adds power to your nose and tail for loftier ollies and better drive, especially on rockered boards. Flux didn't stop there with the revamped baseplate design. They've added urethane stabilizers in two different densities, allowing you to customize the fit and feel of your bindings.

As for Flux's brand new Ultima Wing highback, let's just say you'll be getting your tweaks and presses locked-down, due to ample leverage and increased control afforded through a winged design. This highback is cored out in strategic areas for a freestyle flex and lightweight design. Additionally, it offers tons of support for ollies and increased stability on landings, courtesy of the wing wrapping around the back of your calf.

Rounding out the impressive features on these bad boys, Flux has included an Absolute Fit ankle strap and FTM Monocoque toe strap. Through curving the ankle strap, more comfort and response is available, especially on the outside of the strap. The inside of the ankle strap is cored out for weight reduction, which also allows for more mobility when tweaking, pressing, and styling out tricks. The FTM Monocoque toe strap is molded from a one-piece design, allowing for superior boot fit, more responsiveness, and minimized pressure points.
