Bataleon SnowboardsaBataleon snowboards offer the best snowboard that any boarder could technically ask for. Bataleon boards catch less edge because of the lifted edge on the nose and tail, but you also won't lose the precise turning with these raised edges by turning only three degrees to give you full edge contact again. The snowboards that Bataleon makes are also perfectly made for smooth landings with the responsiveness of normal camber and Triple Base Technology. Triple Base Technology tend to track straighter even after landing a bit off balance or under rotated because the edges are less likely to dig in. Triple Base technology also adds in sick carves because the edges don't dig in as far as traditional flat boards, so you get a smoother, sleeker ride with less vibrations yet the steel edge keeps full contact with the snow. This feature also makes it invaluable in icy conditions, where it far exceeds the ability of flat boards. The list of uses of the Triple Base Technology continue on with the added speed gained in the half pipe where normally a huge amount of friction from a flat board's edge would slow you down. The TBT edge, however, is rounded off to make for a faster and smoother ride through the pipe. Additional advantages are the ease of bombing hills due to the unique board shape's lack of drag, the ability to casually switch from heel side to toe side, and the overall handling of the board maintained by the raised steel edge that only drags when you want it to. Bataleon boards are made to be more versatile than a conventional flat board, and will suit most any rider, with any preference, in multiple terrain types. Boards with camber also have significantly more pop than boards without, and adding Triple Base Technology makes it all the better. Because of TBT's concave tail and nose shape, your board will pop you out just like snapping an ollie. An even more fundamental advantage of a Bataleon board is the lifted side-bases in the nose and tail that give you more uplift in deep powder and make you sink less than on a flat board, allowing you to continue riding when it starts snowing. Bataleon is one of the highest quality boards out there, but they aren't out to rob you. Their boards are more than reasonable for what you get out of them. Go Bataleon or go home! |
